Tanzania AAA
Tanzania
produces some of the best, wet processed "mild"
Arabica coffees in the world. Our Tanzania AAA is
grown almost entirely on small farms in the
mountainous regions near Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt.
Meru. Much like its Kenyan neighbor, the Tanzania
AAA delivers a medium-bodied taste that is bright in
acidity; however, the Tanzania AAA also contains a
rich, winey acidity. Some describe this coffee as a
smooth, rich cherry with a sweet tobacco aftertaste.

Preferred: $19.99

Uganda Bugisu AA
Mt. Elgon
lies in the Eastern reaches of this country,
straddling the Uganda/Kenya border. The steep
slopes of Mt. Elgon have elevations of 5,000 to
6,000 feet, which are ideal for growing the Arabica
beans. Uganda is known for its large production of
robusta beans, however, Ashay offer 100% Arabica
beans from Uganda. The Uganda Bugisu coffee is also
truly unique, in that it does not carry the medium
body characteristics of other East African coffees.
The Uganda Bugisu coffee offers a lighter body, with
a more delicate floral finish. While not going to
dance off the palate like the Kenya, this coffee
will leave a milder finish that will keep you
wanting more. The Uganda Bugisu varietal is the
original tree of the famed Jamaica Blue Mountain.
This is our delicate and subtle coffee.

Preferred: $19.99

Cameroon
Rich
volcanic soil, high altitude, and adequate rainfall
- all of these things make Cameroon an ideal place
for growing great coffee. Much like Uganda, this
country produces mostly robusta beans, however,
Ashay is proud to offer 100% Arabica beans, which
makes our Cameroon coffee unique in the contemporary
coffee market. Our Cameroon Arabica beans are grown
in the western highlands of the country by
small-holder farms. The coffee grows naturally
among other vegetation, and every bean is
wet-processed, and then harvested between September
and February. The Cameroon is a full-bodied, fine
acidic coffee with an overall earthy flavor and
dried chocolate notes. It offers a well-rounded
finish with hints of currants

Decaffeinated Coffee-Swiss Water Processed
Ashay
uses only the Swiss Water Process to decaffeinate
our best coffee beans. Over 80% of coffee companies
use the German, or Mexican, decaffeinating process,
which employs harsh chemicals such as formaldehyde.
The Swiss Water Process ensures that 99.9 of the
caffeine is extracted from the bean, while still
leaving the flavor intact. This process is the most
efficient known for delivering the lowest
caffeinated, yet highly flavorful coffee bean.
Retail: $25.99
Preferred: $20.99
